I’ve been with KT since the beginning of the year. I’m a patrol guard and I go to different locations. I like the physicalness of it. I am not a behind-the-desk guy. I like being outside because its– Hawaii! I’m a retired guy. I owned a business. Being a business owner I like how KT runs the business. They do a really good job. Management goes around and makes sure everyone is doing all right. It's really well managed and I appreciate that! I have pride in what I do, and they do too.

I manage our team of Protection Specialists at St. Francis Healthcare Systems of Hawaii. I’ve always been protective and observant, so working in security just made sense to me. I need security for my family: full-time, set hours, and overnight so I can take care of my child. The people at KT are all welcoming and we really do take care of each other. Everyone get the opportunity to contribute ideas or express concerns. I haven’t been here long, but I’ve already decided I’m gonna stay a while.

I’ve always had a protective nature for as long as I can remember. What I didn’t know was how broad a brush stroke security is and the constant learning has kept me hooked to the adventure. I have had the ability to travel for work, attend conferences where I get to learn from other giants in this industry and go to classes that teach methodologies that improve our respective departments. Because I’m able to have time with my family, it makes it very easy to work hard for this company.

I decided to work in the security field to be able to help others. A friend referred me to KT Protection Services and I have enjoyed it since. There are different sites and different scenery to work at. I really appreciate my set schedule and the staff support system. And I like the Aloha that the bosses show and that same expectation from their employees
